A word about your new computer's setup...

Software companies pay computer manufacturers to pre-install software on each computer they build. That software is not necessarily to make your new computer better. It has more to do with computer manufacturer's desire to make more money by being paid for placing that software on your new computer. Therefore each model has the same cookie cutter type of software package installed.

Often this results in a setup that is seldom the best for the way you use your computer. Children have very different security needs than their parents or older siblings etc...

We will take that one-size-fits-all style computer setup you bought and make it unique to you and configure it for the way you and your family use the system.

Our standard method is to simply do a clean install. A clean install is your Windows system without all the bloat installed by the computer manufacturer and yes, sadly, Microsoft itself. This is especially helpful for laptop owners who have have less RAM and hard drive space because of the smaller size of the computer.

We set up separate accounts for the different members of the family that places limitations on say, the account used by a ten year old in order to protect her or him from viruses, adware, and backdoors that specifically target kids.
